The Red Rock Riders Equestrian Drill Team was started in 2005 by Randy Cartwright with a group of girls from Marion and Jasper counties.  Over the years the team has grown and now includes girls from several Iowa counties and preforms to crowds nationally.  The teams original intentions was to  provide entertainment to local crowds while showcasing the bond between horse and rider.  As the team continues to grow and expand, the crowd entertainment is still priority.

The Red Rock Riders are blessed to preform for many local Iowa rodeos and have proudly partnered with Three Hills Rodeo Company and the Worlds Toughest Rodeo to perform at several of their events throughout the years.

The 2020 team consists of ten riders that have dedicated their weekends throughout the fall and winter to be the best they can be for the upcoming events. Performances can vary depending on the venue and expectations of those we are performing for. A routine can showcase the versatility of horse and rider, speed, and precision to keep the crowd entertained for the three minute time slot. We also enjoy the opportunity to perform a routine carrying flags. It allows us to add a little more challenge to the typical routine we would perform. For bigger venues we love to bring our lighted show. Our lighted performances consists of the horse and rider covered in LED lights while running through maneuvers showing a whole new level of horsemanship and dedication. For themed nights, we have the luxuary of choosing between multiple different colors to incorporate the theme within our routine. For Tough Enough To Wear Pink rodeos we perform with pink lights while also forming a cancer ribbon within the routine. For patriotic themes we have red, white, and blue lights and a lighted American Flag to make a bigger statement.
